1 — LAILA

My mistake cost me a lot of time and money. It was really inconvenient and I was very annoyed with myself. I was on a business trip in San Francisco. I had a bit of a cold and I wasn't feeling great. I had a morning flight back home the next day, so I checked the flight time on my ticket, set the alarm on my phone and went to sleep. As soon as the alarm went off, I got up and hurried to the airport. Imagine how surprised I was to find that I'd missed my flight by five hours! I'd misread the time on the ticket. I'd thought it said 8.00 a.m. but in fact, when I put my glasses on, I could see it said 3.00 a.m. I had to wait another eight hours in the airport for the next flight and I had to pay for a new ticket.

2 — JOHNNY

I think I've made a huge mistake. I started university in September and I have a horrible feeling that I've chosen the wrong course. I really hate it. I don't understand any of it. I think maybe university was the wrong choice for me. I did quite well in my exams at school, and I thought going to university and living in a flat would be fun. I didn't want to get a job because I think that you get a better job if you've got a degree. Now I feel lonely and stressed and I've lost all my confidence. I'm jealous of my friends who are working instead of being at university. I can't tell my parents because they are so proud that I'm studying. There's nothing I can do though, so I suppose I'll just have to continue.

3 — COSMO

My mistake was really serious. It cost the company I worked for a lot of money, and I lost my job. When it happened, I had been working for my dad's best friend's company for about a year. I was clearing some old files from the computer system when suddenly everything disappeared. I'd selected all and then everything deleted. Because I hadn't realised what I'd done, I pressed empty trash too! It was awful. My boss was so upset.

4 — GRETA

I love animals. We always had lots of pets when I was growing up, and I miss having animals in my life. Two weeks ago, I was walking home when it started to rain heavily and I didn't have an umbrella with me. I ran into the nearest shop, which happened to be a large pet shop. I started looking around while I was waiting for the rain to stop, and I saw the prettiest little white rabbit. It was really cheap and the shop assistant told me that I could easily keep a rabbit in my flat! So I bought the rabbit straight away and brought it home. I really love it, but it's destroying my flat. I've had to replace the cables for my laptop and my lamp because the rabbit ate them, and it has made holes in the carpet. I just don't know what to do!
