HELP Forum — Sick of shared house living

I live with my best friend, Melissa. She's a great friend, but she isn't a great person to live with! I start work early every morning and I go to bed early. Melissa works for a music website. She works at home and doesn't get up early. Every night she watches TV and calls her friends. She always goes to bed late. And she isn't quiet! She sings and dances and I can't sleep.

She never does jobs around the house. I always clean up the living room and clean the bathroom. She can cook good food and she makes cakes, but she never cleans the kitchen or washes the dishes. Sometimes, she does the washing, but I usually do it. At the weekend, Melissa swims or goes to the cinema or has lunch in a restaurant. I always go to the supermarket and buy food.

We've got a dog, Perrita, but Melissa never walks him or feeds him! Sometimes I ask her to walk the dog, but she always says she can't.

What can I do? Melissa's my friend, but I can't live with her!

— Lara
